Today, it is the Prime Contractor for manned space stations, manned spacecraft and space systems built on their basis.
Foundations of the company were laid by Sergey Korolev. From the moment it was founded to the present day the company was successively known under the names of "Special Design Bureau No.1", "TsKBEM", "NPO Energia", "S.P. Korolev RSC Energia".

At different times the company was headed by Chief (General) Designers for the rocket and space technology: S. Korolev, V. Mishin, V. Glushko, Yu. Semenov. The museum space is over 1300 m2 and Labour Glory hall and the Memorial room devoted to S.P. Korolev is 250 m2. The display hall shows the development of rocket and space technology: from the pioneer home-made long-range ballistic missiles to Energia launch vehicle and Sea Launch Rocket and Space Complex, from the pioneer artificial earth satellites to all modifications of manned and transport space vehicles. Visitors may touch the descent module flown by the world's first astronaut, Yuri Alexeyevich Gagarin, see with their own eyes the Voskhod-2 multi-man spacecraft, from which Alexei Arkhipovich Leonov pioneered in performing space walk; full-scale mockup of the Soyuz-Apollo first international orbital complex: full-scale mockup of the Salyut orbital station and many other things.

The Labour Glory hall shows the enterprise history made by those who contributed a lot to its growth and development: the photographs, many of which are unique; documents, awards; memorable souvenirs and so on.
The Memorial room is devoted to S.P. Korolev. It reconstructs the interior of the scientist and designer work study. Here you can find his personal belongings, a lot of photographs and documents.
In Zvezdny Gorodok you will see the premises where astronauts are trained, the hydraulic laboratory which provides the artificial state of weightlessness as well as the world biggest centrifuge.
