A separate room features the celebrated Kalashnikov assault rifle, called for its designer Mikhail Kalashnikov universally known as AK-47.
Just outside the museum there are specimens of Russian military equipment from early last century almost up to the present. The huge many-ton vehicles with guns pointed at the sky were all in action once and then were driven here to take their place among the war exhibits. They stand next to the famous BM-13 rocket launcher known as Katyusha and alongside German tanks from World War Two, and modern artillery, armoured vehicles, missiles and aircraft, such as the T-80 tank, the C-300 anti-aircraft complex, the supersonic Su-24 bomber, the MiG-29 and Su-2 fighters, and even the Soviet SS-20 missile and the American Pershing II. People interested in guns and missiles and history enthusiasts should find a visit to the museum very worthwhile.
We would be also happy to help you in booking hotels, transfers and other travel services in Russia to make your dream trip come true.
