The tour starts in Moscow. That will give you a chance to see much of the Russian capital. But Moscow can not be considered as being purely Russian, like New York is so much different from the rest of USA. Moscow is a metropolis which has its own style and pace of life. Move fifty miles from Moscow and you will be amazed how different life can be. The Golden Ring is formed by ancient Russian cities located to the northeast of the capital. You will have a great chance of seeing the country side and enjoy authentic Russian experience.
MOSCOW was to have a key role in this devastating war, but the initial German plans concentrated on the destruction of the Red Army, and the offensive against Moscow. By the beginning of December some German Nazi formations were only about forty km north west of the Moscow Kremlin.
STALINGRAD (now Volgograd) is a
place of fierce and decisive battle which is considered by Russians a turning point in the W.W.II.
The city was totally destroyed in the battle.
KURSK. The battle near Kursk is known as the biggest tank battle in the history of mankind. The Nazi armies could not recover after this defeat.
TOUR GOAL. The tour is addressed to all people interested in learning more about the Second World War or the Great Patriotic War as Russians call it.
We have included the major cities where the biggest battles of the War took place. Some non military museums we also included. These are the museums which one can not but visit being in Russia such as Kremlin, Hermitage. We did this combination because we strongly think that culture is part of the national character which helped Russian together with the allies to win the Second World War.

AFTERNOON Arrival to Moscow. Transfer to hotel. Dinner. Accommodation in hotel for three nights.
DAY 2. Sunday.
MORNING Breakfast in hotel. Tour of superb Poklonnaya Hill and Great Patriotic War museum. Lunch.
AFTERNOON Tour of Armed Forces Museum which traces the history of the Russian Army from its earliest days up to the present. Dinner.
DAY 3. Monday.
MORNING Breakfast in hotel. Tour of magnificent Moscow Kremlin. Lunch.
AFTERNOON Breakfast in hotel. This morning we take a tour around central Moscow including the GUM department store, Lubyanka Square, Red Square and Lenin's tomb. Lunch.
DAY 4. Tuesday.
MORNING Breakfast in hotel. Tour of Moscow Defence museum. Dinner.
AFTERNOON Fly to Volgograd. Dinner. Accommodation in our hotel for two nights.
DAY 5. Wednesday.
MORNING Breakfast in hotel. Full exploratory tour of the Stalingrad battlefield including Grain Elevator, Mamaev Hill, Lyudnikov's island. Lunch.
AFTERNOON Tour of Stalingrad Panorama. Dinner. Full board
DAY 6. Thursday.
MORNING Breakfast in hotel. Drive to the river Don. Visit Kalach and the 'meeting of the armies' memorial, the Don bridge. Lunch.
AFTERNOON Visit of the Soldier's field. Dinner.
DAY 7. Friday.
MORNING Breakfast in hotel. In the morning we visit Paulus museum and take a boat trip up the Volga past the giant Mother Russia monument and up to the Factory District. There will be an opportunity for some free time before we catch our return flight to Moscow.
AFTERNOON Fly to Moscow. Dinner in flight. Check into our Moscow hotel for one night.
DAY 8. Saturday.
MORNING Breakfast in hotel. Tour of Tank museum in Kubinka with its huge collection of WW2 armoured vehicles, which has only just recently been open to Westerners.. Lunch.
AFTERNOON In the afternoon we visit the Izmailovo Flea Market and Arbat Street before we have dinner and catch overnight train to Kursk.
DAY 9. Sunday.
MORNING Arrival to Kursk.Breakfast in hotel. Drive to Ponyri Station to Look at the events within the "northern shoulder". Visit Teplov Hights - the last point of Soviet defence. Lunch.
AFTERNOON Tour of Headquarter of Rokossovsky. Dinner. Accommodation in our hotel for one night.
DAY 10. Monday.
MORNING Breakfast in hotel. Tour of Kursk battle museum. Drive to Jakovlevo and follow the "death ride" of the Fourth Panzer Army. Lunch.
AFTERNOON Explore the battlefield around Prokhorovka, the furthest extent of the German advance. Visit monument at Prokhorovka including the preserved trenches and gun emplacements. Return to Kursk. Dinner. Overnight train to Moscow.
DAY 11. Tuesday.
MORNING Breakfast in hotel. Tour of aircraft museum in Monino. Lunch. Accommodation in hotel for one night.
AFTERNOON There will be an opportunity for some free time in the afternoon.
DAY 12. Friday.
MORNING Breakfast in hotel. Transfer to airport.
