Our tour visits the main battlefields of the Great Patriotic War of 1812, including an extensive visit to the great and bloody battlefield of Borodino with its numerous memorials and museum. The highlight of the trip is the
re-enactment of Borodino Battle conducted on the sight of the battle. We also visit sites relating to the 1812 campaign, from Smolensk to Moscow, where we enjoy visits to battlefields and museums. Of course, no visit to Moscow would be without a visit to the
Red Square and the Kremlin.
French claim that they won all main battles during Russian campaign in 1812 but what happened to Napoleon and his Grande Armee? The Emperior had to escape Russian cossacks and half of his Armee never returned to France. While Russian troops made it all the way to Paris. French managed to loose the war wining all main battles. Or we should say it differently Russians won the war loosing all the main battles.
